I have a new book out.

It's publication day for Bone Silence:

"Return to the third book in the Revenger Trilogy, for another thrilling tale of piracy set among the stars . . .

Quoins are accepted currency throughout the thousands of worlds of the Congregation. Ancient, and of unknown origin and purpose, people have traded with them, fought for them, and stolen quoin hordes from booby-trapped caches at risk to life and limb throughout the Thirteen Occupations. Only now it’s becoming clear they have another purpose . . . as do the bankers who’ve been collecting them.

The Occupations themselves are another puzzle. The rise and fall of civilisation may have been unevenly spaced across history, but there is also a pattern. Could something be sparking the Occupations – or ending them? And if so, what could it be, lurking far beyond the outermost worlds of the Congregation?

The Ness sisters are being hunted for crimes they didn’t commit by a fleet whose crimes are worse than their own. If they’re to survive, and stay one step ahead of their pursuers – if they’re to answer the questions which have plagued them – it’s going to require every dirty, piratical trick in the book…"

  3. I look forward to reading this. I'm just commenting to point out that there seems to be a typo in the advertising line quoted at the top of the post. It seems there's a word missing between 'of' and 'set'.

  4. Thanks! I cut and pasted it without spotting that that word (I think it should be piracy) was missing.

  8. Mr. Reynolds: trying not to spoil anything for others, but I am concerned about the fate of the Miser, it's contents, and most importantly it's Security guard. Sunward bound toward freedom?

    2. Finally finished. Thank you for another great read! While the afterword mentions that you are done with the Ness sisters for now, I hope it is not the end for that universe. There are a great many interesting questions and ideas left unanswered and unexplored, that have left me wanting more. Hopefully the wait shan't be as long as my wait for a House of Suns follow-up. Stay safe good sir!

  11. I was recently listening to a record on YouTube by a band called Gandalf's Fist called 'The Clockwork Fable' - it's around 3 hours of mixed spoken word (narrated by the actor Mark Benton) and music along a steampunk-ish theme. It's worth a listen if you haven't heard it.

Anyway, it got me to thinking that the Revenger trilogy could also work if set to music...is this something you've ever considered?

  13. Dear Mr. Reynolds, first of all excuse my bad english. Since 10 years - after discovering your Novel REVELATION SPACE -i am a fan of your stories, novels and books. I read them primarily in german language. I am home in germany. So congratulations for yor new book.
Unfortunately your last three books ELYSIUM FIRE, SHADOW CAPTAIN and BONE SILENCE are not published in Germany yet. Also GALACTIC NORTH is not published in Germany. Is there any kind of possibility, that these books will published in Germany in near future?
Now i am reading HOUSE OF SUNS (Haus der Sonnen) and i am fascinated of its story and your description of the galaxy. Please continue writing and give the world more of this science fiction.
Best wishes from the metropoltian area of Berlin

    1. Marc-Oliver - my apologies for not replying promptly in March. Heyne do have Elysium Fire and Shadow Captain in their intentions to translate and publish, and we hope they'll be able to continue with others. As always, there are economic challenges...

  16. Wow, House of Suns comes up a lot in that interview and you even mention that you're not quite done with it yet. That book alone I have read multiple times and inspired me to publish my own novellas. Any chance of a sequel being one of your next 2-3 books? :)
On another matter, will we ever find out what happened to the protagonist in Diamond Dogs?
