Just a couple of weeks ago I managed to fulfill one of my fantasies - by being given the opportunity to take over the airwaves of a local San Diego radio station for an hour to play some of my favorite music. Of course, Tinseltown featured. As did Motorcycle Emptiness, of course...citehslackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06042974115201445587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5143440998478479157.post-89557810806214546772011-02-06T11:15:41.438-08:002011-02-06T11:15:41.438-08:00I remember hearing Tinsletown in the rain a few ti...I remember hearing Tinsletown in the rain a few times on the radio and being fascinated by it. I didn't actually discover who's song it was until I heard a track from "Hats" afew years later, which I bought and still love to this day. It's the perfect album to put on in the car, as loud as possible, while driving late at night. It's an album you can really loose yourself in while listening to it. I'd have to disagree about the best song ever (I think I'd probably have to go with one by the equally melancholic David Sylvian), but it is a very, very good one. <br />I think I'll give the book a read, it sounds interesting, when I've finished the one I'm reading now, and while I'm waiting for your next one to arrive.Alant595https://www.blogger.com/profile/12607224231692420972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5143440998478479157.post-48238018110586518622011-02-06T08:32:23.484-08:002011-02-06T08:32:23.484-08:00you are aware the lead singer provided some gorgeo...you are aware the lead singer provided some gorgeous vocals to a craig armstrong song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osP05cpJKNMtoddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12645074986936369132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5143440998478479157.post-50385232247653695632011-02-06T08:25:27.367-08:002011-02-06T08:25:27.367-08:00i remember searching my local independent record s...i remember searching my local independent record store for their first album back when i was very young. still a masterpiece even after all these years.
